Christie is a painter of contemporary iconography portraits influenced by the Renaissance, Gothic art and a religious upbringing. Her most recent works are a turn toward still life, as she endeavours to capture her ever growing collection of taxidermy.
Christie's paintings are a characteristic reflection on life and symbolic of personal experiences, both past and present.
Her work has been influenced by the oil painting techniques of the Old Masters, especially their use of light & colour.
